The Obidient Movement has strongly condemned the alleged attack on activist Mama Pee by thugs suspected to be loyal to Julius Abure, former National Chairman of the Labour Party.
The movement described the incident as “cowardly, barbaric, and Pee’s supporters as an insult to womanhood and a desecration of democratic values.
The group’s national coordinator, Dr. Tanko Yunusa, has called on the Inspector General of Police to investigate the attack and ensure that those responsible are brought to justice.
The Obidient Movement stands in solidarity with Mama Pee, affirming that no amount of intimidation or violence will silence her or derail their commitment to building a new Nigeria .
The movement described the brutal attack as an affront to womanhood and a violation of democratic principles.
They condemned Abure’s actions as cowardly, highlighting that targeting Mama Pee reveals not only his lack of integrity but also the emptiness of his political ambitions.
The Obidient Movement insists that such acts degrade the values they stand for and expose the true character of those behind them.
Part of the statement reads:
“We state categorically that no amount of intimidation, harassment, or violence will silence Mama Pee or the millions she represents. Instead, Abure’s actions only deepen the resolve of Nigerians to resist tyranny in whatever form it comes.
“We are calling on the Inspector General of Police and all relevant security agencies to immediately investigate this crime and ensure that those who carried out and sponsored the attack are brought to justice. Violence must never be allowed to take root as a tool of politics in Nigeria.
“Julius Abure has proven himself unfit to lead, unfit to inspire, and unfit to represent the values of a new Nigeria. His thuggery is a stain on our democracy and a slap on the faces of all Nigerians who still believe in fairness, justice, and peace.
“We stand with Mama Pee. We stand with truth. And we declare once more that no amount of violence will derail the march to a New Nigeria.”
