Real Madrid clinched a place in the last eight despite a 1-0 second-leg defeat to city rivals Atlético Madrid. Antonio Rüdiger converted the decisive penalty in the shootout as Carlo Ancelotti’s side triumphed 4-2 on spot-kicks after the tie ended 2-2 on aggregate. Conor Gallagher gave Atlético an early lead, but a missed penalty from Vinícius Júnior kept Madrid in the contest, setting up a tense finish.
Premier League Duo March On
Arsenal comfortably progressed despite a 2-2 home draw against PSV, advancing 9-3 on aggregate. Oleksandr Zinchenko and Declan Rice were on target for the Gunners, while PSV fought back through Perišić and Couhaib Driouech.
Meanwhile, Aston Villa impressed with a dominant 3-0 win over Club Brugge, sealing a 6-1 aggregate victory. Marco Asensio starred with a brace, while Ian Maatsen also found the net in a commanding performance.
Dortmund Complete Quarter-Final Line-Up
Borussia Dortmund came from behind to defeat Lille 2-1, advancing 3-2 on aggregate. Jonathan David’s early goal gave the French side hope, but second-half strikes from Emre Can and Maximilian Beier ensured Dortmund’s progression.
