King Charles III Reveals Admiration for Davido, Says Singer Made Him Love Pidgin English

 

British monarch, King Charles III, has expressed his admiration for Nigerian music star, Davido, revealing that the singer’s music inspired his love for Pidgin English.

The monarch made this known during the premiere episode of The King’s Music Room, a new Apple Music show that aired on Monday.

King Charles III stated that Davido’s song Kante, featuring Fave, is one of his favorite tracks, adding that Afrobeats has played a significant role in promoting Nigerian culture globally.

“Davido has made me love Pidgin language. I would like to speak it the next time I visit Nigeria. Thanks to Afrobeats, it’s becoming more popular around the world,” the British ruler said.

Reacting to the statement, Davido took to his Instagram story to repost the video, giving a shout-out to the royal family.
