Barcelona vs Benfica (18:45 CET)
First leg: Barcelona 1-0 Benfica
Barcelona travel home with a narrow advantage after securing a hard-fought 1-0 win in Lisbon despite being reduced to ten men early on. Raphinha, the star of the campaign for the Catalans, will be pivotal again as Hansi Flick’s side looks to complete the job.
Benfica, however, remain defiant. “It’s still open. Anything is possible,” said striker Vangelis Pavlidis, as the Portuguese club seeks a rare win against Spanish opposition in UEFA competition.
Inter vs Feyenoord
First leg: Inter 2-0 Feyenoord
Inter take a comfortable two-goal lead back to San Siro, having conceded just once in the entire tournament so far. Feyenoord, though, have proven resilient away from home and will need a historic performance to overturn the deficit.
“We still have a match. Anything is possible,” said Feyenoord goalkeeper Timon Wellenreuther, who played a crucial role in keeping his team in contention.
Leverkusen vs Bayern München
First leg: Bayern 3-0 Leverkusen
Bayern Munich delivered a commanding first-leg performance to break their six-game winless run against Leverkusen. With Harry Kane in lethal form, the Bavarians are in a strong position to reach the quarter-finals once again.
Leverkusen coach Xabi Alonso, however, remains hopeful. “One goal can change everything,” he said, as his side look to pull off a stunning comeback on home soil.
Liverpool vs Paris
First leg: Liverpool 1-0 Paris
Liverpool executed a textbook counterattacking game in Paris, scoring the only goal of the match despite having just two shots compared to Paris’ 28. With Alisson Becker in outstanding form, the Reds are confident of sealing progression at Anfield.
Paris manager Luis Enrique remains optimistic. “We’ll go there and show that we deserve to go through,” he said, promising an attacking approach for the return leg.
