BREAKING: Drama as 75 minors are charged with treason, mutiny

There was mild drama at the Federal High Court in Abuja on Friday, as the 75 minors and children brought to the court for arraignment fainted at the peak of the trial.

The 75 suspects aged between 12 and 15 have been charged with multiple counts of terrorism, including an attempt to overthrow the government and alleged mutiny, following their participation in a nationwide protest.

The minors were reportedly arrested on August 3 and have been in detention since then. Their case was brought before the court today for arraignment and plea.

During the proceedings, some of the suspects fainted, prompting Justice Egwuatu to pause the session abruptly. Further details regarding their detention and the charges have yet to be disclosed.

The case has raised significant concerns about the treatment of minors in legal proceedings and the implications of such severe charges against young individuals.
