Historic MMA Championship Kicks Off in Abuja

Abuja – The Nigeria Mixed Martial Arts Federation (NMMAF) is set to make history with the launch of the 1st Sunday Dare MMA National Championship. The event, named in honor of Hon. Sunday Dare for his pivotal role in securing NMMAF’s status as a national federation, will take place from October 26 to 28, 2024, at the Velodrome, National Stadium Abuja.

The championship marks a significant milestone for Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) in Nigeria, as it brings top athletes from across the nation to compete in what promises to be a thrilling showcase of skill, speed, and power. Organized by the NMMAF, the event highlights the board’s dedication to promoting the sport across all six geo-political zones of Nigeria.

Registration for the event is free, and the NMMAF encourages athletes and officials, particularly from the Northern region, to take advantage of this opportunity to compete and elevate their skills on a national stage. Fans can expect an exciting lineup of matches as Nigeria’s finest fighters vie for the championship title, setting a new benchmark for MMA in the region.
