Turkey Club in Talks With Napoli For Osimhen Transfer

Galatasaray is reportedly in negotiations with Napoli to secure the transfer of Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen PeakNews Online has gathered.

According to goal.com, the striker, who had been linked with moves to Chelsea and Al-Ahli during the summer transfer window, saw those potential deals fall through, leaving him in Italy and may now get some respite.

Osimhen had been eager to leave Napoli, but after the transfer window closed, he found himself sidelined. Romelu Lukaku replaced him in the starting lineup and even took his shirt number, adding to the striker’s frustrations.

However, a new opportunity has emerged as Galatasaray has initiated talks with Napoli to sign Osimhen, potentially on a loan deal. The Turkish transfer window remains open until September 13, giving the clubs time to finalize the deal.

Galatasaray is in need of a high-profile forward after Mauro Icardi suffered an injury and are considering a tactical shift to a 3-5-2 formation, which could see Osimhen and Icardi paired in attack.

As negotiations continue, Galatasaray is preparing for their next match against Rizespor in the Turkish Super Lig on September 15, following the international break.
