In first-half added time, Okwuchukwu, who had earlier scored Nigeria’s only goal in their 3-1 loss to Germany, turned provider again, delivering a cross to Sabastine, who slotted it home for a 3-0 halftime advantage.
Substitute Joy Igbokwe rounded off the scoring with a goal in the 94th minute, sealing a comprehensive victory for the Falconets. The win secured Nigeria six points and a +3 goal difference in Group D, propelling them into the knockout stage, where they will face their next challenge in Bogota on Thursday.
