Love of Christ Church Founder Urges Nigerians to Remain Hopeful

Lagos, Sept 7, 2024 – The Founder of Love of Christ Generation Church, Reverend Mother Esther Ajayi, has called on Nigerians to keep hope alive and foster a love for their country.

She made the appeal during a press briefing in Lagos to mark the 17th Anniversary Thanksgiving of the Church, scheduled for Sunday, September 8, 2024, at the church’s headquarters.

Ajayi emphasized that Nigerians are not demanding too much, noting that basic needs such as food, electricity, good roads, and water are essential for the nation’s progress. She highlighted that the current economic challenges facing Nigeria are not unique, as even developed nations are grappling with similar issues.

“I have just returned from the United Kingdom, and I can tell you that prices of electricity and gas are also on the rise there. We fed many homeless people during a recent crusade in the UK, so the economic crunch is not peculiar to Nigerians alone,” Ajayi stated.

The anniversary event, which celebrates 17 years of God’s faithfulness, is expected to attract notable figures, including former President Olusegun Obasanjo, the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi Ojaja II, Erelu Abiola Dosunmu, and Governor Dapo Abiodun, among others.

“The event is scheduled for 10 a.m. on Sunday, and we invite Nigerians and all our well-wishers to join us,” Ajayi announced. She assured attendees of their safety, stating that officers of the Nigeria Police Force and the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) would be on standby. Additionally, buses will be provided to transport members and guests from designated areas across Lagos State.
