Napoli Lowers Asking Price for Victor Osimhen as Transfer Deadline Looms

SSC Napoli has reportedly decided to drop the €130 million release clause for star striker Victor Osimhen, 25, in a bid to secure a transfer before the rapidly approaching deadline.

This is according to a report by Fabrice Hawkins monitored by PeakNews Online.

Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) and Chelsea have been alerted to the new terms. While PSG was previously interested in Osimhen, they have yet to make a formal move. The report suggests that Osimhen prefers a transfer to the Parisian club over a move to Chelsea.

In addition to European interest, Osimhen is also in talks with Saudi Arabian club Al-Ahli, though negotiations have hit a snag over salary disagreements. Despite this, Osimhen’s agent hinted at a preference for staying in Europe, stating on X (formerly Twitter) that the player “still has much to do in Europe.”

With the European transfer window closing on August 30th, the race is on to finalize Osimhen’s next move.
