
As the first anniversary of the death of the late singer and songwriter, Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba popularly known as Mohbad draws closer, the deceased family has petitioned the Inspector General of Police (IGP) expressing concerns and disappointment regarding the handling of the investigation into the tragic death of their son.
In a letter signed by, Taiwo Odumosu Esq. on behalf of the Aloba family, the family expressed its concerns over the manner the case has been managed raises serious questions about the officers’ professionalism, diligence, and integrity.
The family specifically demanded the disbandment of the present team of investigators, and urged IGP to send a crack team from the headquarters to unravel the death of their son.
Based alleged shoddy investigation of the case , the family pleaded with IGP for the following:” Replace the current team handling the investigation in Lagos due to their unprofessional and shoddy handling of the case;
” Send experienced investigators from Abuja to assist the Aloba family in uncovering the truth behind their son’s death.
” All the policemen right from the Police Post at Lekki to the present investigating officers should be investigated, their bank accounts scrutinised and other issues to ensure that the officers are brought to justice”.
