Chief Sunday Adeniyi Adegeye, widely known as King Sunny Ade (KSA), Honorary President of the Musical Copyright Society of Nigeria (MCSN), led a delegation from the Society on a condolence visit to the family of the late Onyeka Onwenu, who passed away last Saturday.
Accompanied by MCSN Chairman Orits Williki, CEO Mayo Ayilaran, Kenny ‘Keke Keke’ Ogungbe, and Tee Mac, KSA expressed profound grief while offering his condolences. He prayed for strength for Onwenu’s family during this challenging time, emphasizing that her legacy would endure.
“Onyeka Onwenu was a joy to be with as a member of MCSN. Her legacy will live forever,” KSA remarked emotionally.
Chairman Orits Williki honored Onwenu by describing her as a trailblazer and role model. He urged young women to follow her example, noting, “She always stood for what was right and refused to be passive based on her gender.” Williki highlighted Onwenu’s commitment to justice and her significant impact, affirming that her legacy would remain cherished.
