
The battle for the prized wild card slot to the Abbas Family Squash Tournament billed for Maryland, USA will be decided today.
In contention is Busayo Olatunji, who takes on Rofiat Abdulazeez at the squash court of the Ibadan Recreation Club.
To reach the final of this inaugural edition of the Nigeria Top 8 Female Invitational Squash Tournament, Busayo Olatunji defeated Delight Allison 3-0 (11/5, 11/2, 11/2).
She had earlier recorded wins against Auta Rebecca 3-1, Adesola Olatunji 3-1 and Blessing Isaac 3-0 in preliminary round matches.
Her opponent is this all important final game is Abdulazeez Rofiat who on her part defeated Blessing Isaac 3-1 (11/7, 9/11, 11/4, 11/3).
Before the Semi-Finals win over Isaac, Rofiat had defeated Veronica Sunday 3-0, Mistura Durosinlorun 3-1 and Delight Allison 3-0.
The Nigeria Top 8 Invitational Tournament is sponsored by Solar Power Etal in conjunction with the African Diaspora Squash Association.
Expected at the finals is the President of the Nigeria Squash Federation, Boye Oyerinde alongside Captain’s of industries as well as members of the Ibadan Recreation Club.
