Lagos, Nigeria – In an exciting development for Nigerian football, the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) has revealed that the winners of the 2024-25 season will be awarded a substantial prize of N200 million.
This marks a significant increase from last season’s prize of N150 million, which was claimed by the Rangers.
The announcement was made by NPFL Chairman Gbenga Elegbeleye during the league’s Annual General Assembly. The new season is set to kick off on Saturday, August 31, 2024.
In the opening fixture, reigning champions Rangers, also known as the Flying Antelopes, will face off against El-Kanemi Warriors. Rangers are entering the new season with high hopes, having secured their eighth NPFL title last year.
