Lagos, Nigeria – Esther Ajayi, founder of the Love of Christ Generation Church (C&S), has described Nigeria’s current economic challenges as temporary and expressed optimism about the nation’s future. Speaking during a rally in Lagos to raise awareness for her upcoming event, ‘Celebrate The Comforter,’ Ajayi emphasized that the country is still in a growth phase.
“Rome was not built in a day. Nigeria may be going through a lot at the moment, but we will definitely come out of it,” Ajayi said. She expressed confidence that Nigeria will achieve greatness again, urging citizens to remain hopeful and resilient.
Addressing newsmen at the rally, Ajayi shared the inspiration behind the much-anticipated spiritual programme, scheduled for July 20 at the National Stadium in Abuja. She stated that the event aims to change the perception of white garment churches and highlight their dedication to Jesus Christ.
Ajayi also addressed security concerns for the event, reassuring attendees that comprehensive measures are in place. “There’s nothing to worry about security because if God is with you on a mission, the rest is history. I have met with the hierarchy of Nigeria’s security architecture, and there is no cause for worry,” she said.
The rally saw a large turnout from C&S members and other religious groups, starting at the Maruwa axis of Lekki and passing through Lagos Island and Surulere, before ending in Maryland.
The ‘Celebrate The Comforter’ event is expected to attract numerous religious leaders and gospel singers, featuring performances by renowned artists such as Yinka Ayefele, Lanre Teriba, Yinka Alaseyori, Beejay Sax, Muyiwa Riversongz, and Bidemi Olaoba. Other artists set to perform include Kent Edunjobi, Israel Classic, and Aram.
Ajayi’s message of hope and faith comes at a crucial time for Nigeria, as the country navigates through economic difficulties and seeks a path toward recovery and growth.
