3 cycling competitions in Paris open to Nigerian cyclist – Official

Giandomenico Massari, President, Cycling Federation of Nigeria (CFN) says Ese Ukpeseraye is the sole athlete qualified for all three cycling competitions at the upcoming 2024 Paris Olympic Games.

Massari made the disclosure in a phone interview with the News Agency of Nigeria ( NAN) on Wednesday.
According to him,Ukpeseraye earned a chance to compete in three separate Olympic cycling competitions.
He said that a cyclist can do more than one event in a competition but Nigeria has qualified for three events.
“It is not necessary that even in other sports the same athlete is doing different specialties.
“She has qualified to compete in one road and two track events.
“This is the first time Nigeria will be appearing in Olympic cycling competition,”he said.
The president urged her to continue to remain disciplined, dedicated and determined in the course of the competition.
Masari wished her a hitch-free competition and best of luck.
NAN reports that the 2024 summer Olympics is scheduled to begin on July 26 to Aug.11 in France.
Paris is the main host city and 16 other cities spread across Metropolitan France, plus one subsite in Tahiti.(NAN)
