
Abuja, Nigeria – The National Examination Council (NECO) has released the results of the 2024 Common Entrance Examination for Unity schools, revealing that 13 candidates scored 01.
Minister of State for Education, Dr. Yusuf Sununu, announced the results during a press briefing on Tuesday. He highlighted the participation of 71,291 candidates who took the examination on June 1, 2024, across 599 centers nationwide.
NECO’s data showed that Lagos State had the highest number of candidates, with 17,751 participants. The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) followed with 10,209 candidates, and Anambra State came in third with 4,972 candidates.
Out of the total candidates, 4,360 were absent, leaving 66,931 present for the examination. Dr. Sununu also noted that the highest score was 203 out of a possible 210.
He confirmed that the admission process for Unity schools will maintain the standard of 60% merit-based selection.
