Why I am still single-Don Jazzy

Lagos, Nigeria — Renowned Nigerian singer and music producer Michael Ajereh, popularly known as Don Jazzy, has shared insights into why he is still single. Responding to a query from a fan on X.com on Wednesday, Don Jazzy attributed his single status to his ongoing journey of self-improvement.

When asked, “Why aren’t you married?” Don Jazzy replied, “I dey work on myself, so that when my head correct, my babe go enjoy me.” This candid response highlights his commitment to personal growth before entering another relationship.

In 2021, Don Jazzy revealed that he had been married to American model and author Michelle Jackson at the age of 20, but the marriage ended two years later. He admitted that the marriage failed because he prioritized his music career over his family.

“I spoilt it because I was giving all my time to my music. Music became my priority instead of my family. We got divorced when I was 22, and it hurt. I am still very much in love with my music, and I would not want to marry another person and mess it up again,” Don Jazzy explained.

His focus on personal development and dedication to his music career remains central to his life choices, as he seeks to ensure that he is fully prepared for a future relationship.
