Police arrest the killers of retired general in Abuja

 

 

Abuja, Nigeria — Operatives of the Nigeria Police have apprehended four suspects linked to the death of Brig. Gen. Harold Udokwere, the national chairman of the Retired Members of the Nigerian Armed Forces.

Brig. Gen. Udokwere was tragically killed during a home invasion by a three-man armed robbery gang at his residence in the Kubusa area of the Federal Capital Territory on Saturday. The assailants fatally attacked the retired general, prompting an immediate investigation.

Following the incident, the Federal Capital Territory Commissioner of Police, Bennett Igweh, swiftly ordered a thorough probe into the circumstances surrounding the general’s death. The investigation led to the arrest of the four suspects, who are now in police custody.

“The arrest of these individuals is a significant step in our ongoing efforts to bring justice for Brig. Gen. Udokwere and his family,” stated Commissioner Igweh. “We are committed to ensuring that those responsible for this heinous crime are held accountable.”
